Not related to the get-together, but this is really funny.

People: At work doing this so it's a quick note: I now work on Saturday, January 22 till 4:00 in the afternoon. Jean and I are switching our weekends and this will commence the weekend of the 22nd. Of course, I don't have to work on Sunday.

Now, I can hopefully take off work at noon this day so that Ang and I could leave afternoonish sometime and make it to Erin's sometime thereafter. If this doesn't work out, then I will work the full day and I probably will not attend our sweet get together. (sniff)

I think it should be okay though. Questions, you can reach me on my cell, but since no one really calls that anyway, it will probably be turned off. (no one loves me).

So are we on for January 22??? Assuming so, what time shall we be there? Need us to bring anything? Etc?

I'm absolutely totally fine with having it here, provided that people don't mind the drive to come here, and that I haven't exactly established a "night out pattern" so will probably not be the best person about picking out a bar, club or restaurant. (I dunno what you guys would like to do while you're here, so thought I would throw out a few suggestions.)

Also totally fine with not going to a musical. I just thought it would be something fun to do. I'm also cool with just hanging in, playing games and watching movies.

So...yeah. Unless there is a freak snowstorm or something, we will plan on the 22nd.

The 22nd would work just fine for me. This way I won't have to take off Friday night (since we won't be getting together on that day).

Ok... So about that christmas get together thing. Erin and I were talking on the phone and were thinking that the 22nd would be the best weekend for everyone. We are under the assumption that Kristin you don't work that weekend right? According to our calculations anyway. If this doesn't work let all of us know what weekend does. Basically what we are saying is that Kristin it sounds like you should tell us what weekend works for you since your the only one that works on weekends (sorry) Also we were thinking that it would be best if we could do it on a Sat. because Erin and I both work on Fridays. And I would have to drive from Sioux Falls to the Cities (Erin's) right is it still there? If the 22nd doesn't work we would have to move it to Feb. but yeah. So Kristin what works best for you? Does the 22nd work for everyone??????? Unless weather is bad.

About the get together, Yes we need to plan that soon. I am also pretty flexible, The only weekends that might be questionable is Jan. 15th and 16, We might be celebrating my Grandparents birthday. But nothing has been said yet about that weekend. And I know that the 20th of Jan I need to be here, for Larry the Cable Guy, and I am not sure if my parents are staying over night that night. (that Night is a Thurs. FYI) But otherwise I am flexible. Oh I was going to blog in the kitchen but couldn't remember the password. or it didn't work for me anyway.. lol so check out my site for the reason why.

Well, you guys kind of know my schedule, with the weekends that I work and don't. My schedule may start to get messed up because I'm taking some time off in February. As Ang stated, I think we should plan something soon. Unfortunately, I will be unable to go to a play/musical of any sort, if you guys are still up to doing something like that. I'm trying to save as much money as possible and that wouldn't do me any good. Just so you all know.

I'm pretty much free every weekend, because I don't have much of a social life (Ha-ha! Actually, it has improved since moving here, imagine that!)

I am open to hosting it at my place, if people would like to come here. I thought it would be fun to see a musical or play together. Not that we have to see this specific one, but Mamma Mia is playing the weekend of the 15th and 22nd in January and I know that we all would be familiar with the songs in that one. Tickets are a bit higher than I thought, but would be comparable to if we had rented a hotel room for the night.

Anyway. Am open for suggestions, too. I'm assuming that we're planning on scheduling for after the New Year?

About the Christmas get together thing. As I said to before to some of you, not sure if all, but anyway. I know you all know that I right now don't have a job, and I don't know what to say about the weekends. I don't know right now if I will have a job by then or not. Hopefull I will. I had an interview on Wednesday at an Elem. School if I get that Job I will have every weekend free. But I also have an interview at another place, and I might have to work weekends there, I am not sure, they have both full time and part time openings open. If I got offered the job at the ELEM. school. I wouldn't mind also working for Job I have an interview with today partime as well, they pay something like $10 an hour. Basically what I am saying is that I right now am not planing anything on the weekends until I know what my job schedule is, once I get one. *crossing my fingers* hopefully soon... *smile*

Ang and I were talking the other night and were thinking that we should all start to make plans for our Christmas get together. So soon in advance would allow myself to give proper notice at work, saying if we wanted to plan for a Friday night or something.

My schedule is as follows, I work the weekend of New Years, have off the following weekend, work the next weekend, blah, blah... you get the idea.

Angie -- Watched the A2Z episode for Sixteen Candles last night. Very yummy. Especially the pics of the guy who played Jake Ryan, who, to this day, is still very delicious.

And also, the second picture loaded for me all right. What a cute little house! My mom said that Diane was thrilled that it had a red kitchen--how sweet with all her retro-styled things! Do you have any pics of what the inside is like? (I like to snoop...forgive me!) If not, no biggie, but I thought that the realtor site might.

I am free the weekend of the 14th, busy on the weekends of the 21st and 28th.
Erin is busy the weekend of the 14th, and I don't know about the other weekends.
Kristin is busy all weekends.

I still feel that when trying to plan something to include any more than two people (in our case, four), you need to plan alot farther ahead. I've seen it before, and I am seeing it now. If you want more than one person to come down, you are going to have to try for September or October. Weekends fill fast, especially during the summer.

Oh yea, I don't like not knowing what I'm planning to do. I'm sick of being "yelled at" and the blame being put on me just because I would like to know what's going on. I don't like having words put into my mouth either.

And I don't have a problem with coming "ALL THE WAY down to Sioux Falls".

Yes I understand we all have busy lives. I also feel that a few weeks notice isn't too short of a notice, 1-3 weeks isn't not a short notice. plus its not like I haven't given one date, I laid out a few dates. SO there were options. And Why can't just a get together during the month of Aug. be enough information. I just thought it would be best on a Sat.night as for we all work on MON. Unless you want to come on a Sunday. and just not go to work Mon. and I don't think we want to do that now do we. I am willing to do a Friday night in Aug. but I don't get off til 8:00

Megan, I've read everything closely. The only thing I know is that it is not a Mary Kay party. To me it sounds like you are planning something besides just getting together, especially when you are going to be sending out information in the mail. I'm just wondering what it is. What's so wrong with that? And if you want us to just get together for the hell of it, why aren't you saying that?

I'm not making excuses to not come either. We all have busy lives. You suggested a couple of days, and I gave my reasons why those would not work for me. I know extremely well how hard it is to try to get a day to work for several people. We (me, Glenda, Mandy, and Julie) have to set a date months in advance to get a day to work for all of us to get together. You know what day we all agreed on August 28th? May 16. So don't go bitching when you give us short notice and we already are busy.

Well Maybe if you would read closer you would figure it out. And I guess I will just set the date for a day sometime during this month, and if someone can't make it THATS FINE with me. I just thought it would have been fun to have all of us there but whatever. When I set the date,you will all be finding this out in the mail. I guess those who can't be there won't be there. Kristin what Sat. Might work best for you, 14th, 21, or the 28th? Angie and Erin have something on either one of those days. So your the deciding factor.
